Dreaming of a smaller waist and that coveted hourglass figure? Let's dive into some killer exercises designed to target and tone those core muscles. Consistency is key, so let's make these exercises a regular part of our routines. Here are five waist-slimming exercises to get you started:
1. Russian Twists:
- Sit on the floor with your knees bent, leaning back slightly.
- Lift your feet off the ground, keeping your back straight.
- Hold your hands together and twist your torso from side to side, tapping the floor next to you.
- Aim for 3 sets of 20 twists.
2. Bicycle Crunches:
- Lie on your back with your hands behind your head.
- Lift your legs off the ground, bending them at a 90-degree angle.
- Bring your right elbow towards your left knee while straightening your right leg.
- Repeat on the other side.
- Perform 3 sets of 15 reps on each side.
3. Plank with Hip Dips:
- Get into a forearm plank position.
- Dip your hips to the right, then back to the center, and then to the left.
- Engage your core to keep your body in a straight line.
- Do 3 sets of 15 hip dips on each side.
4. Side Plank with Leg Lift:
- Start in a side plank position on your elbow.
- Lift your top leg towards the ceiling, engaging your obliques.
- Lower the leg without letting it touch the floor.
- Perform 3 sets of 12 leg lifts on each side.
5. Hollow Body Hold:
- Lie on your back and lift your legs and upper body off the ground, creating a "U" shape with your body.
- Keep your lower back pressed into the floor and engage your core.
- Hold for 30-60 seconds, repeating for 3 sets.
